SICK CALL:

Father Almighty, We ask you that your keep our fellow comrades safe, healthy and bless them with your rich blessings.  We ask that you protect our service men and women who are serving our great nation.  We pray for safety, peace, and bring our service men and women home to us. We ask all this in your name.
Amen.
Greetings:

I am saddened to tell you that Bill Baird has passed away, on January 16th. “Tile Billy”, as he was known, and I used to take the train the Miami VA Hospital together; sometimes we would stop at “Manny’s”, a little Cuban cof-fee shop. No one spoke English, but the beer was cold. I don’t know how he found it but hope he finds another on this trip to take its place. Rest In Peace. We have also learned of the passing of John E. Shaw and Julius Toker.

On a happier note, Ralph Picariello of “City Pub” has come thru his triple bypass with flying colors. He is still a little weak but that’s understandable. He faces more surgery when he is feeling stronger. Keep smiling, Ralph!
And how great it is to see “Pearl Harbor” Ed Hammond back at the Post after his recent illness.

I am sorry if I have left anyone out, but to avoid any omissions in the future, please call me with any information you have on sickness and health. My cell phone number is 954-415-0444. If you know of any of our “family” who has fallen ill, you can always leave the information in the Chaplain’s box by the front door.

For God and Country,
Mason Smith, Chaplain
